Volunteers

Because SoS is organised entirely by volunteers, the conference is also an amazing opportunity for young people to gain skills in all aspects of event coordination. Such an undertaking requires many volunteers. SoS also relies heavily on sponsorship, fundraising and grants.

SoS encourages the participation of all potential delegates and students; any support you can offer would be greatly appreciated, whether for a specific aspect of the conference or for general assistance.

Areas you can work in include media and promotions, food, welfare, finances, administration, and fundraising.

The SoS07 collective would love to have you involved in organising the conference. There are sub collectives within the organising collectives such as:

* Food/cooking/organic food contacts organising
* Frant writing/Fundraising
* Rock against Racism Gig organising
* Womens space
* Queer Space
* International speakers
* Organising with Indigenous people
* Creative space
* Carbon offsett tree planting
* High school/primary school outreach
* Regional outreach
