Activate! - One Day Tree Planting

This Year's SoS conference will activate your heart to funky tunes as you help plant 20 000 seedlings.

Activate! is an event running along side the main SoS Conference where 20,000 trees will be planted by 100 individuals on degraded farm land east of York. The area will be re-planted with endemic species. Participants will travel to York on the afternoon of Wednesday July 11, where there will be indigenous cultural awareness workshops, a film night, vegan meals, and musicians. On Thursday, the tree planting will take place. There will be musicians playing throughout the tree planting and in the afternoon buses will transport the participants back to SoS. The cost is $40 and covers local/ethical/organic meals, transport, accomodation, music soundsystem, DJs and planting equipment.

The Bus leaves Murdoch @ 1:30pm Wednesday the 11th

We need volunteers to take part in this day as planters, bus drivers, chefs, musicians and performers.

What to Bring: warm clothes, boots, warm bedding (sleaping bag swag/camp mat) wet weather gear, sunscreen, hat, water bottle, snacks and enthusiasm.

This is a drug and alcohol free event. Please respect this, as our focus is to maintain positive energy to plant trees in the ground.
