What?

Blac Blocs began jamming in early 2007 at the Black Dove social centre in North Perth on Friday nights. Since then we've played just about every single music venue in Perth.

We released our first record in late 2008, and are about to release the second in 2010.

BBs are four men with very busy lives, who enjoy kicking out the jamms together. We drink beer, sweat and play rock music like its our last moment on earth.

We eat. We love. We talk. We do activism and art. We laugh and scream.

We passionately support human rights, eco-rights and social equality.

Our music is riot.

Why?

Like all humans, we exist in the deep human ecosystem. Our human connections with the ecoshpere are tangible, crucial.

Bound by inexorable capitalism, our tribes are an insidious cancer raping the planet into a useless stench-pit.

We realise that as humans - as intelligent observers of the ecosphere - we are independently & collectively responsible for Corporations and Governments - who are implicit in much of the toxicity, genocide and human suffering faced daily by millions.

Our band stands firm to the selfish, perpetuating, rapacious tyranny behind money and greed.

We despise racism, homophobia and any other form of oppression.

We demand an end to coercive authority. Imediately.

And we portray these passions through our music.
